The Monster That Happened To Sit Upon A Hill, 2013, Pen on Paper, 10.5" x 17"
For this drawing I superimposed several blind contour figure drawings (drawings of models where I never looked at the paper during the session, but only drew intuitively) onto each other to create a mix of outlined forms. I then used the Surrealist practice of automatic drawing to fill in all the shapes, creating one figure without any planning and only utilizing chance. This was an exercise of the subconscious where I didn’t rationally develop the form, but only drew the marks my hand randomly felt like making.
